Here's what should be waiting for me at lunch today(according to Diamond Comics):

Amazing Spider-girl #1 - With all the positve talk about this book, I'm going to give the first issue a shot.

Batman & The Mad Monk #3 - Matt Wagner: Words & Pictures, nuff' said.

Blade #2 - Guggenheim & Chaykin, I think this Guggenheim guy has another book out this month as well. Plus, I like the Chaykin art.

Conan #33 - One of my Sword & Sorcery book fixes every month.

Red Sonja #15 - My 2nd Sword & Sorcery book fix every month, plus it's been shipping on time.

WildC.A.T.S.: Wildstorm #1 - Morrison & Jim Lee, since it looks like we'll never see AS:B&R #5, at least Lee has time to work on something. I'll give the first issue a look.

Wolverine #47 - There's that Guggenheim guy again, working with Ramos. Not a bad little story, even if it is a Civil War crossover.

Robert Kirkman's take on Ant-Man. I think it's literally a funny book.

Congrats on getting issue 4 out, Diddy!

Now when are you going to post us a little update on how the rest of your projects are doing? At least what you can say without violating NDAs or ticking your wife off. :D

Nothing, except I picked up Escapists 4 a week late. This comic is all about the publication of a comic. I recommend.

Thx Mike! I have been asked to write a comic spinoff to a major book franchise...can't say what it is yet but will let you know as soon as I can. Also, there is some talk of the next installment of Scatterbrain, tentatively titled THE TERROR INITIATIVE, which would be another 4 issue series and would expand the SB world into a national story (rather than just set in Devil's Hopyard). A theoretical third 4 issue series would then expand the story into an international one.

Runaways 21: fun issue that also pulls at the heartstrings..BKV just knows how to hit all the right beats. Im glad you know who returned at the end to the team..we get a sense of closure with a little foreboding for the future...fun stuff...9/10

Union Jack 2: action from cover to cover...loved it..Gage has Union jack brutally take down a bunch of Marvel U villains like jack o lantern, Shockwave, Firebrand and more..reminiscent of Die hard...i love the pace of the whole issue..one action scene to another...Perkins rocks too...10/10

52 week 24: havent checked this out since week 6 or so..nice Jimenez art and some cool moments as we see what John jonz was up to (liked that a lot), the "new" JLA (again very cool), and some interesting developments with Atom Smasher and Amanda Waller...I may check out a few more issues for that particular storyline since it features a favorite DCU team of villains...7/10

Wildcats 1: great debut issue....Jim Lee's art rocks this issue..so many gorgeous sequences...the spaceships, the Spartan robots, the Spartan/Priscilla sequence,etc...lots of cool concepts thrown at the reader and it all fits in well together...8/10

Authority #1: ok...i dont consider this a spoiler..but rather a warning thats why it isnt blacked out..the Authority does not appear in this issue..not in one panel...not once..we get a view of the "real World" right before they arrive..it feels like half of a first issue..I sense what Morrison was going for..but it failed to hit the mark...ill give it one more issue..but this isnt the Authority i know and love (havent seen them in years by the way)...5/10

Desolation Jones 7: Love this title...another great little spy/detective story gets started...you feel drawn into the mystery as Ellis introduces some players and lays the groundwork for a cool little tale..great dialogue too...one of my favorite books out there today...10/10

(ok now that I know Scatterbrain 4 is out...and my lcs did not get it..i gotta order it from Midtown comics..!)

Mysteries! I love mysteries!

The Authority 1- Mystery #1. Slow, but nice set-up. I really enjoy Ha's artwork.
Wildcats 1- Another nice set-up. This was fun. Very nostalgaic for me.
Birds of Prey 99- I must admit this was an abrupt departure. From on high from the JLA office? Eh...
Omega Men 1- Mystery #2. I really like the artwork. It's just a shame that at this point in time, so many of the original Omega Men have died.
52 Week 24- Got this for the Jimenez artwork. Liked the Black Adam parts and Amanda Waller.

Stan Lee Meets Dr. Strange- I really didn't enjoy this book, despite Alan Davis's artwork. I can't believe Stan wrote Strange's dialog like he did. Bleh.

And the Bendis story, using Stan as an authoratative mouthpiece to legitamize the current direction Marvel's taking it's characters. Horrible. And I agree about change being good- it's the type and style of change they're employing I don't like.

And I forgot X-Factor 12- I like how David tied everything up. I'm really, really happy to see Lila getting it in the end. Her pouring the milk out on the floor was priceless. I still don't like her.

Fun stuff this week!

Amazing Spider-Girl 1 - She's back! :yay:

E-Man: Recharged 1 - HE'S back! :yay:

Krypto the Superdog 2 - Guest starring The Dog Star Patrol! Fun stuff!

Marvel Adventures: The Avengers 6 - Still fun, but I wish they'd get Manuel Garcia back on the art.

Savage Dragon 129 - Always enjoyable.

X-Men: First Class 2 - X-Men (well, some of 'em anyway) vs. The Lizard!

Wait, is it Flash, the Fastest Man Alive or Flash, the Slowest Story in Print?

That Sandman fifty-cent issue was alright. Although I've nothing against the pro's being paid a fair wage, it was nice to be able to try out a book because I had some extra change jingling in my pockets. ( Remember when comics and candy-bars were about the same price? )
