[bigred]Dark Adapted Eye[/bigred]
Product Description
Part new, part material lifted from her previous, self-produced release 'Inky Blotters', 1988's 'Dark Adapted Eye' really ran the gamut, from new wave ('Cat House') to bizarre punk disco ('Big Hollow Man'; 'Fizzy Human Bomb'; 'Flashback') to psychedelia ('Yummer Yummer Man') to even, believe it or not, roots music ('Bad Miss 'M''; 'Touch Piggy's Eyes'). Challenging, yes, but gobs of fun, 'Dark Adapted Eye' has aged particularly well in today's multi-culti pop world. Includes seven bonus tracks! 1. Cat House
2. Big Hollow Man
3. White Knuckle Ride
4. When I Was Young
5. Yummer Yummer Man

[bigred]Blast The Human Flower[/bigred]
Product Description
For an album that's supposed to be her major label sell-out, 'Blast the Human Flower' certainly has its share of adventures, but then nothing in Danielle Dax's oeuvre is easily pigeonholed. Her cover of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' was the flashpoint for her harsher critics, but its Oriental exotica fit right in with her love of Indian bhangra music. And for every 4-4 rocker ('The ID Parade'), there's a mysterious folkie number ('Daisy') or atonal electronics ('Bayou'). The album didn't sell a lick, resulting in Sire's dropping Dax, and Dax departing the music business, but it's another absorbing listen from one of the most intriguing female figures of the 80s. 1. The ID Parade
2. Tomorrow Never Knows
3. Big Blue '82
4. Bayou
5. King Crack
6. Daisy
7. Dead Man's Chill
8. The Living And Their Stillborn
9. Jehovah's Precious Stone
10. 16 Candles
