2008 album from the British Prog/Pop rockers, their first studio release in 20 years. Original members John Beck (keyboards) and Bob Dalton (drums) have been joined by bassist Lee Pomeroy and vocalist/guitarist John Mitchell (formerly of Kino). While original leader Francis Dunnery is nowhere to be found, the classic sounds of It Bites remains with the band, chiefly due to the incredible keyboard work of John Beck. 11 tracks including 'Oh My God', 'Memory Of Water' and 'The Wind That Shakes The Barley'.

Gotta say here, no Dunnery-no It BItes. These guys were a very good, albeit unusual Prog act from the 80s. I saw them open for Jethro Tull in 1989 and they were good. Dunnery went on to play with Robert Plant and had a mildly successful solo career in the Folk Rock field.
I'd like to hear what the guys did here, but without Francis Dunnery I can't imagine it being very good.

I bought the import version last year (or was it earlier this year?), and although it's very good it sounds nothing like It Bites. The lead singer (John Mitchell) was also the singer in Kino, which included members of Marillion, Porcupine Tree and It Bites. He's also played with Arena. Even with all these prog rock players, both Kino and the new It Bites are more melodic rock with hints of prog. Still very enjoyable.

Also, original It Bites singer Francis Dunnery is still active, has released several great albums, and is currently working on a prog rock project called The New Progressives. I have high hopes for that one.
