Product Description
Contemporaries of Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses, The Charlatans and The Inspiral Carpets, The Farm were Liverpool’s contribution to the “Madchester” era of the early ‘90s. During the first three years of that decade, the band enjoyed 10 hit singles, including two Top 10s, as well as a Number 1 album, Spartacus, in 1991. With their memorable melodies propelled by easy, loose-limbed dance rhythms, The Farm rode the crest of the “baggy” wave, their songs such as All Together Now and Groovy Train capturing that heady, optimistic time when indie bands made gently euphoric sounds for dancefloors and encouraged a generation of guitar fans to embrace rave music and club culture.

• A full 2CD totally comprehensive collection of the band’s career.
• Features the Top 5 smash ‘All Together Now’ as well as the Euro 2004 version of the song.
• Includes no fewer than nine tracks from the chart-topping hit album ‘Spartacus’.
• Compiler and sleeve note writer is legendary Uncut and Guardian music writer Paul Lester.

Groovy Train is a great song.

Resurrecting this from the ashes to say "stay away!" from this shoddy release. First, here's the track listing stated on the actual CD packaging (different from the preliminary track list above):

1. All Together Now 5.41
2. Stepping Stone (Ghost Dance Mix) 6.33
3. Groovy Train 4.10
4. Mind 4.33
5. Love See No Colour 3.58
6. Don T Let Me Down 4.38
7. Hearts And Minds 4.24
8. Family Of Man 4.44
9. Sinful! (Scary Jiggin With Doctor Love) 4.17
10. Higher And Higher 4.38
11. Tell The Story 3.39
12. How Long 3.38
13. Sweet Inspiration 5.30
14. Very Emotional 4.41
15. Groovy Train (Terry Farley Remix) 4.03
16. All Together Now (Dream Mix) 9.00
Disc: 2
1. Alltogethernow 2004 3.36
2. Don T You Want Me 3.58
3. Rising Sun 4.03
4. Good Morning Sinners (Previously Unreleased Version) 3.42
5. Love See No Colour (Album Version) 5.33
6. Mind (Unreleased Original Remix)
7. Tumbling Down (Previously Unreleased) 4.42
8. Rain 3.51
9. Words Of Wisdom 5.26
10. Creepers 6.02
11. Obviously 4.43
12. Suzy Boo 5.23
13. Any Town 6.26
14. Tooth Fairy 5.04
15. News International 7.24
16. All Together Now (Bcd Project Club Mix) 6.00

Here's the problem... CD1, track 5 is "Love See No Colour," the single mix, while CD 2, track 5 is supposedly "Love See No Colour," the substantially different album version. In reality, however, BOTH TRACKS ARE THE SAME! (Both discs have the 3:58 single mix.) So, you're paying for the same song twice.

There are a few unreleased gems here, but this is a sloppy release. The sparse liner notes make frequent mention of the Farm's third and final album, Hullabaloo, but NO tracks from that album appear on this compilation.

I'm probably the only person on the planet who cares about this and there aren't many Farm fans around anyway, but there you go...
