Lotta was in the volume called "Harvey Girls", together with Little Dot and one other character.

You should get them for your library, I think there were five volumes in total.

I have the Richie Rich one and read the Casper one from our library. I don't know what the other ones were.

Yikes! Well out of our price range, then. We just can't afford big, nice volumes like that. Especially not since I'm currently having to put a lot of collection development money into upgrading nonfiction and replacing lost materials.

Okay, the Richie Rich is actually advertised at 139.95, not that that would make it any easier! Maybe some of the other vols are still in print, Daphne, in which case they retail at 20-30, incl. some color pages! Harvey comics are a must for the children's section of any library in America. They are so much a part of the cultural fabric.

Someone on another board now says the series will continue after all. This is very confusing.

I'd like to see more Little Dot, she deserves her own solo book.

I was never a fan of the Harvey stuff, but I have a pal in New Zealand who just
loves the stuff, especially Hot Stuff, the Little Devil. But he also like's the rest
of the books.

True. It would be good for kids to read comics from a more innocent time.

Or least from a time that pretended to be much more innocent than it really was :)

Well, at least the crime rate was much lower in the '50s and '60s, both in America and in Europe. America has over 3 million people in prison now, IIRC, highest figure ever. Of course a lot of those people are in prison for drugs possession, which is not nearly as serious a crime as violence or robbery, IMO.

Now, the Richie Rich advertised at 140 is brand new. You can get them used much cheaper than that on amazon.
