Anyone ever been here and do they recommend it for a vacation destination?

Is the campground nice? Is it a crowded lake? Reasonable? Pics?

Really? No one has ever been here? With all of IMWAN's Southerners, I assumed someone had been here.

Oh well.

Never heard of it. Most of my passes through Tenn. were during the 60's and 70's.

Though I did attend an anvil shoot at a tiny festival at Grinder's Switch in the 80's.

I was actually there for a camping trip once.
Mind you it was 35-40 years ago, and I was little, little kid, so all I remember was sleeping in a Starcraft tent/trailer, eating crappy camping food, and being bored.
Might be fun though.

I know where it is, but have never been there. It would probably be a good place to visit if you like things like canoeing and fishing. Just bear in mind that it's a swampy area, so the best time to go is probably when the weather is cooler and the bugs have died down some.

I did a bit of poking around online. It looks like there are a number of resorts in the area. So there's probably a good bit to see and do. If the state park there is like most other Tennessee state parks I've visited, it's probably rather small and doesn't have a lot of modern facilities.
