For me the classics

Paul Murry
Jack Bradbury
Tony Strobl

Barks we've had plenty of, so give the other guys some space.

I have a difficult time liking Disney comics that do not contain ducks (or other fowls)
in them. Nothing about Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, etc. really grabs me.

Anything by Walt Kelly, though, I love, no matter who he was drawing.

Here's some sample Donald Duck drawings, by the way, by various artists.

Sounded like Boom! was mainly going to recycle more recent European material.
They plan on releasing some classic material as well, but I don't think they have
mentioned yet as to what that might be.

I used some Rosa artwork awhile back to make this banner for the
Indy Comics board over at Alvaro.

Heh, the Alvaro boards. I used to spend a lot of time at the Avengers board. I really wish he'd update his software, though.

What user name did you post as, Steve?

Actually, when he did update his software a bit, I got to dislike it more.
The old version was fine. It wasn't flashy or anything, but it worked.
We were focused on discussion, and I found a lot of quality discussion
at the ComicBoards, especially in the Gold, Silver, Bronze-Age board.

And, well, old software was more than appropriate for us old geezers there.
Seriously, what more do you really need to discuss things? I remember
Linda saying almost the same thing about their software.

Al Hubbard's fine linework on "Fethry Duck" and "Scamp". Was it Dick Moores who drew the newspaper "Scamp"? We'll have that one, too.

I've said this before at the DCF, but a nice, affordable series of Barks trades would be fantastic. I know they've been reprinted ad nauseum, but unless you a)paid outlandish sums for hardcover (black and white) collections, stocked up on slim, overpriced color cardstock bound comics, or just bought EVERY comic Gladstone/Gemstone published individually to get them all, you haven't had the opportunity to read the best Barks stuff. There's never been a proper consumer friendly reprinting of decent sized tpb's.

I'd also love a tpb series of Murry's Mickey Mouse, and I'd at least be interested in reading a Gottfredson collection of Mickey work.

Oh, and the Gemstone series where they reprinted Rosa's sequels along with the Barks originals, I'd like to see that continue too.

Yep, I'm disappointed at the pricing/page count on those things. They should be 200 plus pages. It'll take seven volumes to complete the Life and Times of Scrooge plus the companion stories, for instance, and that's if they omit the commentary texts, which I enjoyed reading. They led me to search for old Barks stories that inspired the L&T series. :(

I might be convinced to buy that Christmas one, though.

I'd like some reprints of the non-funny-animal stuff from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

Duck Tales!

And make the Muppets comics available to Australia, that would be a useful start.
