IORR.org is reporting that Mick Taylor has cancelled his entire U.S. and Canadian Tour he was to embark upon. He cancelled a free show he was supposed to do in Pittsburgh the other night. A music blogger reported that Taylor had been filming a show for a possible DVD release in Paris. The blogger reported that Taylor was drinking before the show, during the show and after the show as he was chatting and signing autographs with fans. He is now apparently in the hospital and has been advised by a doctor not to undertake the tour. All I know is that I want him to get working on feeling better. He's given us a lot over the years. His work with The Rolling Stones always stays foremost in my mind. No matter what it is, I just want him to take his time recovering from whatever it is that is ailing him. On a side note: I hope that the news of the upcoming Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out: 40th Anniversary Edition and Exile On Main Street: Deluxe Edtion isn't bringing up ghosts or demons from his past and putting a lot of undo pressure on him. I have no idea if he's had to take part in any negotiations for any of the unreleased material that would be featured on both of those titles. I kind of lean against the possbility that he's had to. It's just that he must be dealing with the fact that Mick and Keith are going to do whatever it is they are going to do with the unreleased material that involved him. I just hope Mick and Keith don't change any history in the process of getting this material ready for release. Mind you, I have no idea if anything of this nature has entered Taylor's mind lately. I'll just say that my prayers are with Mick Taylor and I hope he's going to come out of this better than ever. Yes, you are appreciated dear sir.

My thoughts go to Mick, hope he gets well and takes good care of himself, even if it means cutting back on touring. I was lucky to see Mick Taylor live in a very small venue, it was a concert memory I'll always cherish.

New reports indicate he has pleurisy and that he has also developed a blood clot. His smoking and drinking couldn't have been helping things. I just hope this episode will inspire him to cut out the smoking and drinking and that he gets into an exercise program on a cosistent basis.

I hope he recovers soon. Strange that right now I am on messenger and talking to my friend about how dangerous drinking and drugs can be for people. I also think someone posted a thread about Mick Taylor a couple days ago that I was just reading. I hope he gets well and can go back on tour. I don't know that muh about him except that he was with the Stones. But I understannd he's a well-respected musician. I wish him all the best.
