The legendary musician, who, as part of The Beatles, made his U.S. television debut at the Ed Sullivan Theater on "The Ed Sullivan Show" 45 years ago, returns to that very stage to sit down for an interview with Dave. McCartney will also perform later in the broadcast.

If memory serves me right, he did a couple of shows in the Ed Sullivan Theatre which were specifically taped for an MTV series, "Up Close," in late 1992, just before Letterman took it over. So this would be McCartney's first time in that building in 17 years.

...Just curious...did not get to view these videos just yet...is the amazing Abe Laboriel, Jr. on drums for McCartney during this 2009 tour?
