Two duets you couldn't escape in the '80s:
"Up Where we Belong" with Joe Cocker, from the movie, "Officer and a Gentleman". "(I've Had) the Time of my Life" with Bill Medley, from the movie, "Dirty Dancing".
I don't need to see the movie "Dirty Dancing", but I prefer the duet with Bill Medley to the Joe Cocker duet, Cocker sounds too much in pain.

I think Warnes was great on both, but I much prefer "Up Where We Belong" To me, Cocker always sounds as if he's in some form of distress. I don't care much for the ".... Time Of My Life " tune.Base on the popularity of both records, I was surprised Warnes didn't have more notoriety. Her "Famous Blue Raincoat" is a great record.

While not a vocal duet, First We Take Manhattan (from Famous Blue Raincoat), featuring Stevie Ray Vaughn is fantastic.
