Can anyone out there tell me about disc one of the Whitesnake "Slide It In" 25th anniversary deluxe edition? The back insert states that it features the original release as the US Remix version. Does anyone know what they mean by this? Has the music been tampered with or does remix mean remastered? Thanks in advance for your help

There's already several posts about this album. The album had 2 different mixes/musicians when it came out in 1984 and this release includes both, although I believe the US mix is a few songs short. The album is remastered.
Also, this remaster is apprantley 2CDs/1DVD in the US and 1CD/DVD in the UK. No difference in songs I think, just stretched out more in the States.

After personel shake-ups in the group(Micky Moody & Colin "Bomber" Hodgkinson exited and John Sykes & Neil Murray joined) and with the folks at Geffen not liking the original mix, the album was remixed and altered for its' U.S.A. release, partly re-recorded, removing the contributions of the departing members and adding the contributions of the new members. The only complete CD release of the UK mix is a Japanese Geffen CD.

It's also available in the UK. I ordered it from AmazWAN UK last year.

It is missing the UK version of "Love Ain't Stranger" . It has the US version and the Starkers In Tokyo acoustic version but not the UK version. Does anybody know why they did this ? Does Geffen even know ?
