Was a kick-ass book.

Great story to show why Superman is King. Highly recommend this issue. Best single issue Superman story I read since Action 775 (the Authority one)

Probably not a bad idea. Though 3 is pretty self contained. (It does carry over some plot elements, but I think it head everything you needed to in the issue)

Hanzo, I thought of you when I was finished with this issue. It seemed right up your alley.

Spoiler: show
There is a hostage situation on New Krypton. Zod wants to handle it violently Superman want diplomacy. He forces Zod into giving him 30 minutes to try his tactics. It works. Superman shows that he can use brains and not his fists to solve a problem.
Frustrated One of Zods staff goes rogue and tries to assassinate the Hostage taker, and Superman had planned for that eventually and has him stopped. Zods guy looks like a chump.

Zods guy challenges Superman to a fight. Superman doesn't want to but Zod makes them. Zods guy spends a couple pages beating up on Superman. Declaring Superman a chump. Then Superman stands up and says. "Wrong. I have learned from the best" Striking a Batman pose . "I spent this time learning all your moves and all your weakness. You have learned nothing on me." Then proceeds to whip his ass. So Superman can beat you with or without his fists. It just showed that he can handle any situation smoothly which was nice.

Maybe I'll check it out.

I'm irritated by the whole storyline, as it caused me to drop the titles, but I'm always up for quality.

They have stopped being -you must pick up every issue of all the Superbooks to get the story. I think at this point you can just follow the title/Characters you like.

The regular Superman book is pretty cool, with Mon-El and the Guardian.

Agreed Hank. It seems the James Robinson guy has a knack for writing. One day he might be a star.

And yet that sentence is my problem with them. Even Action comics has a little leeway, but to have a year's worth of stories that don't even include the title character just seems off. If I buy Superman, I want to read about Superman.

Well, the current title on the cover is "World Without Superman."

Yes, he's in the actual World of New Krypton title.

But not in Action Comics or Superman?
