List as many albums as you can that are named after a track on the album - but that track was never released as a single, in favor of other tracks instead.
Twisted Sister's "Stay Hungry" is one.

Kate Bush - The Kick Inside, Lionheart Yes - Time And A Word, Big Generator, Open Your Eyes, The Ladder The Who - A Quick One While He's Away (ok, the US version was called Happy Jack - so sue me!) Jethro Tull - War Child, The Minstrel In The Gallery, Too Old To Rock & Roll But Too Young To Die, Songs From The Wood, Heavy Horses Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
I mean, this is kinda a loaded subject. Singles AFAIK aren't released anymore, so album with a title track within the last say 8-9 years is fair game, right?
And, if there was a promo-only single of the title track, but no commercial release, does it count?
Sorry, overthinking this wayyyyy too much!

Sorry, overthinking this wayyyyy too much! "Minstrel In The Gallery" was a minor hit single in the US and "Too Old To Rock & Roll" was also a single. "Open Your Eyes" was a single as well that did not chart but was a US AOR hit. This is a pretty tricky post to figure out!

There was a thread on these boards maybe 2-3 years ago about songs that didn't appear on the album with the same title--Led Zeppelin's "House Of The Holy" being Exhibit A, but there were quite a few others if I recall.
As for what vaults a current album cut into "single" status, it basically happens when the promotional people at a record company announces that it has happened.

Well, to be really accurate, "Big Generator" WAS released as an Atco- 33RPM 12" Single- 1987.
The Doors "Waiting for the Sun" did not contain the title song. It appeared later on "Morrison Hotel".

Big Generator was promo only, though, right? With the remix on the flip side?
