"Bertha Butt Boogie" by Jimmy Castor Bunch. Low? Vulgar? Whatever, it's fun and has its place.

Is it a racist stereotype the black women have big butts or even that black men like women with big butts ?

Hey Ven: We did a "Naughty Bits" Friday List (incl. rear ends) 'bout a year-and-a-half ago. Too soon for a reprise.

Jimmy Castor Bunch's 'Bertha Butt Boogie' is good natured '70s fun (and the last part of the "caveman trilogy" that included 'Troglodyte [Cave Man]' and 'Luther The Anthropoid').

Yeah, I've heard "Troglodyte" as well, I think. Didn't know about "Luther the Anthropoid". I think my JCB tracks are on Rhino's Didn't it Blow Your Mind soul CD comp series, an excellent companion series to the Have a Nice Day series. Rhino really compiled some excellent series. I'm even thinking of getting their punk DIY series.

God, I hate crappy puns...

I had the single way back when - actually, I went through several copies from Sears. The bass made them all skip at the same spot. I think it was four or five copies before I finally gave up. But I did hear it on XM a few months back, and it gave me quite a chuckle.

"Luther The Anthropoid (Ape Man)" was the less successful follow up to "Troglodyte (Cave Man" (and it also appeared on the JCB's 2nd LP "Phase Two" in 1972) so many people don't remember it.
