The show pretty much ended when the host, Nick Perry (shown in that shot) was sent to jail for conspiring to fix the Pennsylvania State Lottery in the infamous "666" drawing. The drawing was held in the same studio, as I recall, and they injected white paint into some of the balls and left the 4s and 6s alone. The case broke not because the Lottery Commission was suspicious, but because the bookies who ran illegal numbers suddenly had a higher than normal payout and put the word out to the authorities that it needed to be looked into.
