Blur set to release new compilation

Blur are set to release a new compilation to coincide with their summer comeback shows.

The double CD 'Midlife: A Beginners Guide To Blur' is released on June 15 in the UK, and features 25 tracks.

Apparently it has been aimed at those who missed the band first time around, before their recent reformation, with a statement explaining that "the collection has been designed as an introduction for those who might have missed out on Blur's prolific recording career".

I'll end up getting this because I am so into this band and being the completist that I am. :}

I hope we can have a remastering campaign with bonus tracks. Now that would be something!

Blur announce US release details of new compilation

Blur have announced that they will release a new career-spanning compilation in the US this summer.

The double CD, 'Midlife: A Beginners Guide To Blur', is due out in the US on July 28 via Capitol/EMI.

In addition to containing 25 tracks from the band's seven studio albums, it will also contain a long out-of-print track.

The release of the compilation is set to coincide with the band's reunion this summer for a series of UK and European performances, including a headlining slot at the Glastonbury Festival.
