The Wounded Bird label reissues Electric Angel's fine 1990 self-titled album of pop/metal, along with the long-awaited CD of the Gordon Gano project The Mercy Seat. There's also Meat Loaf's BLIND BEFORE I STOP from 1986...and maybe a few others that day, but who can tell from Wounded Bird's website?

The Mercy Seat album may be good, can't say that I've ever really heard it, but I saw them in concert years ago and really thought that they sucked. Maybe I just wasnt' prepared for their unique kind of performing and maybe they were too big of a departure from the Femmes for my taste. I don't remember. (Could it be the drugs? Old age?)
Speaking of Loaf, given his bizarre career and its turns, I wonder if he's got any unreleased stuff out there. Early attempts at the Bad For Good material perhaps? I'd even like to see a Stoney & Meat Loaf reissue.
