http://www.nme.com/news/jet/38604 Jet send update about new album sessions
Aug 1, 2008
Jet have given fans a video update on the progress for their third album.
The video, which you can see on http://www.myspace.com/jet features interviews with all four members of the band, who are currently holed up in Brooklyn's Atlantic Sound studio recording the follow-up to 2006's 'Shine On'.
According to the video, the band are hard at work on their new album. Nic Cester revealed that they have been writing material both individually and as a group, while drummer and brother Chris Cester joked: "We've gotta stop writing…we've got too many fucking songs."
There is currently no planned release date or title for the album.

Shine On was quite disappointing -- a classic example of the "sophomore slump." I hope this third one is better.

I got a real early advance promo of this today (still no street date). I think it's my first "watermarked" promo!
This CD has been watermarked with a unique identification code that allows us to trace any unauthorized copies or usage to the intended recipient (you). You are responsible for any unauthorized use or distribution of the music on this CD.
They'll be coming after me! I wasn't the 'intended recipient'!

Maybe I was? Why don't you rip me a copy and let's find out? Seriously...just let me know if it compares to Get Born at all, or if I'll be saving my scratch.

It's a CD-r, but all very official-looking. Includes artwork (no booklet, just an inlay card) and printing on the disc.

Jimbo:
I got a digital advance of this a while ago but I didn't know watermarks were out already.
That being said, I did listen to it and found it much better than thier last CD. A lot more Pop oriented, Much better songs too.
