I see that the new Legion of Super-Heroes cartoon begins next Saturday. I'm interested to see how well it is done.

Hopefully this will mean this will mean they will come out with a Showcase Presents: Legion of Super-Heroes.

Can't wait. Just watched "Trouble in Tokyo" this morning and realized how much I've missed Teen Titans. Sharply defined, good-hearted characters firing off each other with humor and irritation while they move through simple, action-pacekd all-ages plots. If Legion's wise enough to adhere to that formula while giving us colorful future world-building as well... oh boy!

See, sometimes I think the comics I like haven't disappeared. They just changed media.

I miss Teen Titans.

My son loves to sit and watch Robin. I got the season 2 set just so I can watch it with him (he's watched season 1 so many times he can probably recite the dialog).

Maybe he'll like the Legion.

Oooh! I hadn't thought about that. They have a bunch of Archive editions to pull from, so it should be one of the simpler ones to convert to Showcase Presents. I would SO be there for that.

This premieres tomorrow morning and I'm all excited.

The Legion is great, I think, because of its very graspable premise: they're superheroes... and they're in the future! How come we don't get more of that -- superheroes in alternate time periods? Everything's always set in a semi-contemporary reality. Except for The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and probably Top Ten. So Alan Moore gets it but nobody else does.

Well, him and me.

The possibilites are limitless:

1) Cavemen superheroes. They're cavemen who fight crime and dinosaurs. Finally they all team up to stop the killer comet that threatens all they hold dear. Cavemen superheroes! And Captain Caveman doesn't count. Alley Oop might.

2) Western superheroes. They're western cowboy types who fight crime. Okay, wait, the Lone Ranger. Never mind.

3) Atomic Knights who...

4) Samurai warriors who...

5) Greek gods which...

Nope. That's it. The possibilities are limited to cavemen superheroes. But who wouldn't read that?

This was number two.

I liked it! It makes a nice transition of showing how Clark learned to use his powers.

The Brainiac 5 Transformer was a little too much, but otherwise it was all good to me.

This was fantastic. Very slight spoiler quote follows:

Spoiler: show
"Look at Clark. If he won't give up, then we can't give up." That's the heroic vibe that I gots to have.

It wasn't that, we can remember to see things, we just have to know when it's on in the first place.

If only there were some type of crude device which allows you to enter the word "Legion" at any time in the weeks approaching a show, and ensure it will be recorded whenever it happens to come on, WITH an onscreen notice that it is about to come on.

Oh wait . . .

It was cool. I was warned in advance that B5 was gonna be a transformer, so it wasn't so shocking. I also like watching Clarkie learn to fly. He flies kind of like a drunk fly.

I like that they used real Iinterlac. I was surprised I could still read it. Well, the letters anyway, I was never good with the numbers.

Back when I was in college, I used to occasionally take notes in Interlac. Nobody ever asked to borrow my notes.

I didn't even know it was premiering this week, that's the problem.
