Kajagoogoo are reforming and are set for a UK tour, they have revealed.

The '80s pop sensations, best known for their 1983 UK Number One hit 'Too Shy', are back in their original line-up for a jaunt set to kick off in September.

Mullet-haired frontman Limahl, real name Christopher Hamill, said it had "taken 25 years [for the band] to grow up," reports BBC News.

Before the tour the band play a warm-up show at Birkenhead Pacific Road Arts Theatre on May 23, following by free shows in Leipzig on June 5 and the Aylesbury Hobbles On The Cobbles festival on August 23.

Kajagoogoo will play:

Liverpool 02 Academy (September 17)
Glasgow The Ferry (18)
Belfast Ulster Hall (20)
Norwich Waterfront (23)
Sheffield 02 Academy (24)
Wolverhampton Robin 2 (25)
Nottingham Rescue Rooms (26)
Swansea Sin City (27)
London Islington 02 Academy (30)
Southampton The Brook (October 1)

This balances out the sadness I feel about Queen & Paul Rodgers disbanding.

This news is truly Kajagreatgreat. I have made fun of this band in high school and will continue to do so. This is frightening news indeed-but there's almost always a positive in any music, and I will say Nick Beggs is a damn fine bass player. I saw him play with John Paul Jones's band and he is a great musician and a good guy.
Useless trivia-Limahl's name is an anagram for his last name Hamill. I should be flogged nude in public for even knowing this.

Yes, he is! And one of the few people I know besides Tony Levin who plays the Chapmanstick.
