Like, old school 90s Valiant?

The ones I've read I read years later, but I remember liking what I read of Archer and Armstrong and Magnus, Robot Fighter.

I prefer Malibu's Ultraverse when it comes to defunct superhero lines. Prime, Firearm, Night Man, etc.

I liked Magnus, Robot Fighter and X-O Manowar.

Prime was pretty good. I didn't read any others, though.

Archer and Armstrong, Eternal Warrior, Magnus, and X-O Manowar were the ones that I followed. I haven't read them in ages though. I might have to pull them back out now.

I've heard that it was quite highly regarded at the time, but never have read any. The few samples of the art I've seen look too '90s for my taste.

Prime was part of Malibu's Ultraverse, not Valiant. Understandable mistake, since there were a ton of "new universes" in the 90s.

Ah! Thanks, Kevin. :)

It was a confusing time - I was originally going to mention that I-Bots was a good Valiant comic, until I remembered that it was from the Tekno Comics imprint (another forgotten "universe", but one I liked).

Warriors of Plasm was good, too....but that was published by Defiant Comics! :)

Archer & Armstrong 0-12 by BWS were amazing. I loved Shadowman and X-O Manowar(especially the Bart Sears issues), now if Sears had stayed on Turok I may have lasted longer than 3 issues on that book.

Harbinger was pretty good up to issue 25, or so.

Jim Shooter did love that "ordinary people with superpowers on the run" theme, didn't he?

The only character in "Harbinger" I ever really liked was Zephyr/Zeppelin. She had an endearing personality.

Good writin gand sometime mediocre art. Harbinger, XO, ARcher and Amrstrong were good. Rai was hit or miss.

What's not to like about a man in a skirt beating up robots? :)

If they ever released "Essentials" of the Valiant stuff I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.
