I was curious about something. Imwan has some wonderful, intelligent, creative and funny members. We all know about terrific and legendary members like Taft, Steinbrenner and so many others (Cockney Wanker). But who is IMWAN's unsung hero? Who deserves to be recognised and mentioned in this thread as someone who participates and contributes without really asking for all the glory...someone who should be lifted up on a petastool and brought to our attention? I have a few people in mind, but I'd like to hear what you guys think.

Two of the most decent people, judging by their posts, i've encountered on the internet.

I feel sad for the people who hope they are mentioned, but aren't.

Two of the most decent people, judging by their posts, i've encountered on the internet. I couldn't agree more. they are both amazing people and contribute so much. They are both an important part of this forum. And, at least in the case of Daphne, one of the people I had in mind when I posted this thread, Rob.

You share a lot and have lot's to say on many things. I find I agree with you on some things as well. Is there anybody you have in mind as far as being underrated?

But the whole premise goes against WANness, really, since the notion of "underrated" is the antithesis of the Punk aesthete. (Say that three times fast.) But keep in mind that Rolling Stone magazine rated our forum and only gave it 2 and a half stars. So in the truest sense... we are very underrated.

My dream for IMWAN was to be the Big Star of e-communities, a cult interest with more influence than traffic. We shot past that quite awhile ago, which still amazes me, but my attitude is that it's all gravy ATP. (And we're below Rolling Stone's radar ... I hope.)

I knew a guy who wrote for Creem back in the day. He died a couple of years ago. Far too young. Very sad.

IMWAN is a source of inspiration for the alternative community, and it should stay that way. There is one thing I'd change, though: I'd invite a guest writer to stop by once and week and talk about the joys of eating Hostess Ding Dongs and to explore the great unsolved mystery of why Taft never flosses between his toes. Otherwise, everything's as it should be.

If he was a friend of yours then he must've been a really good guy. That reminds me. I'm very worried...I have an online friend who I'm really close with. She has been sick the past few months and all of a sudden she's no longer around and I can't reach her at all. I hope she's ok.

Why doesn't Taft floss between his toes?
The smell is getting pretty unbearable.
