Ok, drop your pants and bend over...
Me, I'm gonna be an Australian IT geek, comic geek and lesbian. Hey, on any of the rest of you it'd be a halloween costume!

Kevin wrote: Do they celebrate Halloween in Australia? Not really. There's a bit of a half-arsed attempt in some places, mainly because it's kids looking for lollies (sorry, candy), but it's not part of our culture.

Well Halloween has come and gone. We had a grand total of 9 kids come to the door. Less than last year and even less than the year before that. Just seems like no one is as into it as in years past. Only one good thing came of it....leftover candy.

I don't take my kids trick-or-treating anymore. Several churches in my area have festivals in their parking lots where they have games, candy, clowns, inflatable slides, etc. By going to one of those, we're only gone for a couple of hours, they have a fantastic time, get tons of candy, and it's much safer.

I'm sure half of you guys could have gone out as kids and done the neighbourhood without fear. Now there have to be parents along to prevent disappearances...

Maybe its just some kind of ebb and flow in the youth population to a given area. My neighborhood was full of trick-or-treaters when I first moved here, but they were all older teens. Then one year almost everbody stopped coming. Now the kids are starting to come back, but they are all youngsters. Had two years with about a dozen or so kids each year. This year had about 40 kids even with the rain.
