Please try to answer based on overal merit, not just your current fetish. Lean more towards the one that is the best, not just your particular pet favorite. This is the Oscars of candy bars. Which one is really deserving?
There can be only one!
Note: un "bar-like" candy was not included, such as Reese's cups and Chunky.

I went with the Mars bar, although I don't know if it even exists anymore. It was renamed "Snickers Almond" a couple of years ago, and I haven't seen one by either name recently.
Anyway, I say it wins because of the almonds.

I had a much larger selection, but the software bounces the poll if you have too many choices. I started elminating candy bars one at a time, picking the one I thought least likely to "win" of the choices. I've always thought of 3 Musketeers (I know, I misspelled, no fixing that now) as that candy bar you kind of like, but it's not the best. I mean, Milky Way is basically 3 Musketeers with caramel. How can that not be better?

Flashback. My late grandfather loved these. I loved the way they had couple of honkin' almonds on top. Do they still sell these?

Yuck. Never seen it with almonds. They are very close to a Butterfinger. Doesn't mean they didn't at one time (but not in the last 30 years)

And yes, they are like a thinner Butterfinger, but not bright orange inside. The ones I had featured some sort of solitary nut on the top (inside the chocolate coating, but perched on top of the peanutty goodness).

Yep. Zero and Payday got cut for because of the number of available choices. I would have put Almond Joy and Mounds, too, but I have never known anyone who was a regular consumer of these.

Michael -- back on the mystery of the 5th Avenue nut. See this link
http://www.oldtimecandy.com/5th-avenue-bar.htm
It has nostalgic candy memories, and this girl talks about the way he used to like the two nuts on top.
Quote: More memories... The 5th Avenue candy bar was my favorite because it also had two almond quarters across the top; this was a treat within it self. I would eat the nuts first then the candy bar. I would get mad if the nuts were crooked on top or if it was missing a nut. Sometimes I would allow the chocolate to melt and then I could slide the nut off easily. I would also lick the melted chocolate off the candy bar. Dissembling this bar was a good and taste thing to do. I would make it a project. ~ Debra from New Jersey

Nice! Thanks. I don't think I would have liked it that way, though.

In Canada that's a Mars bar. A snickers without the peanuts in essence. That Mars is in a black wrapper. We also have a Mars witrh almonds in a white wrapper. No Milky Ways to be found.
As good as a Hershey bar is Cadbury's are much better.
If I could only hav e one ever, then I'd probably go crazy! So I voted "other".

I like chocolate, I like peanuts. Call me crazy, but I don't want them together.
