it makes one wonder what Wood's films would have been like if he had actually succeded...
would he have become a serious filmmaker or would he have embraced his own seemingly inherrent cheesyness and become a king of comedy?

I love Ed Wood movies. What breaks through all the cheesiness and mistakes, for me, is the LOVE! You could tell he was really passionate and enjoying what he was doing, one of those guys who was just making the kinds of movies he wanted to watch and make a few bucks while he was at it.
