Me, too. My father made a plaster-of-paris moonscape out of an old door and some two-by-fours for me. It was awesome.

I don't remember any of this. Born late, I guess.

Major Matt Mason was my world back then. Had all that stuff too.

These were the coolest toys, and all the kids on my block would get together and have space adventures. My parents gave me the "Space Station and Space Crawler Deluxe Action Set" for Christmas one year, and the "Space Bubble" for my birthday the following month. No Uni-Tred, but the space crawler could tow the bubble as well. Always had problems with operating the winch, though.

We would turn out the basement lights, and turn on the pseudo-flashlight atop the space station, which then glowed purple. And I remember the transparent-green alien figure, holding a "ray-gun" which "fired" a piece of string, but it was still kinda cool.

Buy me one.

I just read in Entertainment Weekly that Tom Hanks purchased the movie rights to Major Matt Mason.

Is he gonna get Tim Allen to play the part?
