I'd be willing to bet that Jimbo owns an expanded remaster of their New Wave album.

Hey! "Five O'Clock In The Morning" is a pretty good song, I think!

I think it's pretty decent. I wish I could find video of their appearance on "American Bandstand" from that time. I was 10 or so and completely freaked out when I saw them dressed this way hahaha

Yeah, the first two tracks on Renaissance are "Do You Wanna Spend The Night" and "5 O'Clock In The Morning," and they're quite alright.
But it goes downhill fast from there, ending with "Diet" and "Food Fight"! Egad.

"Renaissance" is not one of my favorite albums, but I am a Village People fan.

Sometime back in the late 80s, I went with a bunch of my coworkers to see the reunited Village People perform at NYU (in a gymnasium, I think). It was a lot of fun, until they had a Milli Vanilli moment, when the power went out and it became obvious that the whole performance was canned.

I'd do a "Village People In A Can" thing -- kind of like Wacky Packages. I think the only people who knew about the Renaissance album were Village People fans and people who frequented record stores.

I've listened to this twice. It's damned catchy. The Apocalypse is coming. This is why the original cop left the group. He was a macho man.
