Neat.

My roommate watches this and I don't. And yet, I read comic books and he doesn't. Alanis Morisette would call it ironic, but it really isn't.

 I have seen most of the first season, I got a Buffy feel from it. I might check it all out one day but I'm waaaay too far behind to start now.

First season was the show finding it's way. It improved significantly from season 2 on.

Although the last season was weak in my opinion, it's picked back up.

It's totally worth watching those seasons in between just for Michael Rosenbaum's Lex. A stellar performance and the best iteration of the character I've seen in any format.

When the show first started, I could not get the WB channel, so I had a friend tape
a few episodes. I enjoyed them.

SInce then, I bought the Season Sets on DVDs when they came out, and liked them
well-enough to keep buying up through Season #6. While organizing my DVDs, I saw
them, realized I would never likely watch them again, so I stopped buying. I will likely
watch the remaining seasons eventually, but I want to spend money on DVDs that have
more rewatchability for me.

Just like Alanis Morisette's song. Ironically.

Spoiler: show
I kept wondering why they were so willing to kill Chloe, what with the Legion Code and all. Bit of a ham-fisted origin for that,
but overall, I liked the episode.

And, oh yeah -

Spoiler: show
Why-nath? Really? I still say it's win-ath.

I'm only barely tangentially aware of the Legion (first LSH story I ever read was Byrne's Superman vs. Superboy Action Comics story), and I still geeked out over this. Hopefully, I am not being disrespectful to the source material.

Loved the little asides that were thrown in. Smallville has done these all through it's run, and they're usually ham-handed and groan-inducing, but I loved these. Little comments like "Can you sign it? For my sister?" "Where's the cape?" "You may be known as Clark Kent now, but one day you will be known as Sup... " Really well done, I thought.

Smallville is usually mediocre and forgettable, but every once in a while, they just hit one right out of the park.

I've always pronounced
Spoiler: show
why-nath.

I've been disinclined to enjoy this show since the beginning, and stopped even trying to enjoy it somewhere in the third season when I got sick of the typical WB/CW teen soap drama acting and scripts.

But I had to watch this episode, because I'm a huge Legion nerd.

And I was not disappointed. Is this the last season for this show? Because if they ever let Johns write a follow-up, I'm so there.

Good stuff. I was afraid for a minute that they were gonna rekindle the Clark/Lana romance, though.
