Found by Gohnny. Sadly, only a one-of-a-kind custom figure. But this is BATMAN! :yay:

Rumors are flying that Mattel has untangled the rights to the 1966 Barris Batmobile. This is an old story, but scuttlebutt was that it was supposed to be announced in San Diego, but wasn't because they are still carving the pie. Another old story. However, this was taken at the SHOW...

I'm pretty fond of this guy for nostalgia reasons. He was my favorite. My Grammy bought the -entire- set, Batcave et. all for me for Christmas the year I started kindergarten.

Well, I strolled in one day with the whole layout, and started putting it together, when some other kids started to want to play with my stuff. Logically, I figured the perimeter of blocks would be enough to deter them from coming any closer. When it didn't, I started throwing blocks at them.

Man.... Good times!

Anyway. If you want a walk down memory lane (and have deep pockets) check this site.

Just was thinking... Is that Aparo artwork on those boxes in the link above?

Seems vaguely familiar. I probably had it too. I still have my Aurora models, a bunch of flicker rings, the gumcards, and the "Bat-Periscope". :)

I misspoke...I meant I never had any toys like Cpatain Action, or GI Joe. I had a few flicker rings, and Aurora models of the Batmobile, Batplane, Batcycle (and others like Superman, Batman, Robin, Spiderman, Captain America). All of those are long gone though. I had a lot of the gum cards, too. I didn't have the bat periscope but I did have the exact same thing, but in green, and "Rat Patrol" was written on it. I had the Ideal Toys Batman Utility belt, too.

All this stuff was thrown out by my mom decades ago. I did manage to hang onto the gun and the batcuffs from the belt, and I still have this Batmobile slotcar...

It is! It's Matchbox size, and it worked on an electric slotcar racing set my brother and I used to have. How I managed to hang on to something that small while losing all my other stuff (except most of my comics) all this time, I'll never know. I looked at it a couple of years ago, it was produced by Aurora.

Dude, that rocks? I remember that stuff. I used to have crazy Aurora and AFX slot cars. I had a F-1 track with "Flex-Track" and "Magnitraction" to help hold the cars to the tracks. Guess thats why I'm into F-1 today.

In the hobby store that I frequent for some of my Garden Railroad stuff, they have a new type of sectional track that you can put together in all different ways, including like 4 across to race 4 cars at once. At least, that's what it looked like from a distance. I'm afraid to get to close to it.....

Oh man. Vertibird. I -always- wanted one. But after the "Kindergarten Block Throwing Incident"...well...my parents didn't feel they could trust me with a Vertibird. Who knows what I might have done with it? I still want one today.

I used to love the home edition rod hockey as well. Played it for hours. Played by myself most of the time.

I had all this stuff as well... More than what's pictured. Had a covered wagon. A bank vault, money, dynamite. Man, I can't hardly remember what else. The Lone Ranger was probably the first "hero" I was introduced to.

I am embarrassed to say that it wasn't until atwo weeks ago that I realised "Gnip Gnop" was the words "ping" and "pong" spelled backwards.

My big brother Frank got a Vertibird for Chirstmas...I'd guess '76 or '77? Anyway, we set the thing up and fired it up. It took off, made one half-circle 'round the base, and crashed into one of the living room chairs, breaking the rotor.

Mom and Dad mailed away for several spare rotors, and after 4-6 weeks of waiting, I don't think they fared much better. Seemed kind of anticlimactic at that point, anyway.

I had a the 70s figures for Batman, Superman, Robin, Shazam, Aquaman and others. I still have Captain America that's in pretty rough shape.

Other figures I got in Christmas 1978 were these:

Leo, I had that Fonzie as well. He had that lever in the back to make his arms go up and down when giving the "thumbs up".
