Description from cduniverse:

This DVD features David Bromberg with John Sebastian (Harmonica & Guitar) live in concert at Iowa State University circa 1987. Often referred to as a musician's musician, throughout his career, Bromberg has spent almost as much time being a sideman to people like Bob Dylan and Jerry Jeff Walker as he has fronting his own band. Session credits for albums by Tom Paxton and Jerry Jeff Walker started getting Bromberg attention in the mid 60s, and he began making the transition from sideman to frontman in the early 70s, when he signed to record for Columbia records. The key to appreciating Bromberg is to realize he has an equal passion for blues, folk, country and western, bluegrass and rock & roll. This diverse range of influences is reflected on all his recordings for Columbia, Fantasy, and Rounder, and in his performances as well. His musical eclecticism over the years may have cost him some fans, but a typical Bromberg concert can be a musical education.

Tracklist:
Don't Let Your Deal Go Down
Demon In Disguise
Stealin'
Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow
That's The Way The World Goes 'Round
Mr. blue
Dust My Broom
Chump Man Blues

I Will Never Be Your Fool

I'll let someone else do the amazon link for IMWAN credit.

(Okay! :) However, the Bromberg DVD appears to have been cancelled and replaced with a DVD from the same show but featuring John Sebastian's set. -- Linda)

Recorded at the intimate Maintenance Shop at Iowa State University (1987), John Sebastian, accompanied in part by David Bromberg, performs not only his biggest hits but enthralls the audience with tales of the origination of the songs that remain as popular today as when they first topped the charts. Sebastian has been a performer, composer and multi-instrumentalist for over thirty years rising to fame as leader of The Lovin' Spoonful and went onto appear solo at Woodstock & The Isle of Wight Festival, and has since featured on countless albums and tours with amongst others Willie Dixon, Mississippi John Hurt, Bonnie Raitt, Al Kooper, Tom Petty, Phoebe Snow, Les Paul, Graham Parker and The Doors. Between decades, Sebastian has released several solo albums; actively toured; wrote a best-selling children's book and wrote the theme song for a hit TV show "Welcome Back Kotter" which also welcomed him back on the charts with another international top 10 hit. Experience him live!

I'd like to see a track listing. This could be very cool. My DB bias is I prefer him when he doesn't get too bluegrassy or country.

If you prefer his big band, you won't like this. It's just DB and John Sebastian. DB plays acoustic guitar throughout. John plays harmonica and switches to electric guitar for the last few songs.

It's a fun DVD....shot from a few angles. The concert isn't complete.....a couple of the songs have the beginnings clipped as well. The price is cheap enough....worth getting.

I like him acoustic, again just not when he gets heavy with the country/bluegrass.

Strangely, the David Bromberg DVD which Charles had posted about appears to have been cancelled, and in its place the John Sebastian set from the same show (with Bromberg accompanying him on some songs) has been released instead! See first post for updated details.

Very strange. I have a copy of the Bromberg DVD - an independant record store near work sometimes gets CDs and DVDs before release dates.

If it's really OOP, I lucked out (for a rare change).
