Are these a new remaster (the last batch of expanded cd's Rory's brother did were AWFUL), or just a repackage?

Would these qualify as Awful sounding? I only have one of these Rory titles (I think). And it would be a great way to pick them up cheap.

I've never purchased one of these sets, but all the track listings I've seen online say that these boxes include the most recent remasters...since they also all include the most recent bonus tracks added to new pressings.

I absolutely do not feel they sound "awful". In some cases like "Calling Card" I think they sound pretty damn good. They aren't the best remasters I've heard, but I dig 'em, and Rory is one my all-time guitar heroes.
This is a silly collection though-haphazardly chosen albums. The individual remasters are easily found and usually reasonablly priced, although for some reason "Jinx" (I saw him on that tour in 1982) is hard to find.

In my opinion, the series is bright, screechy & compressed. I actually kept my old copies of tattoo & Blueprint (my favorites) for the sound & the new copies for the bonus tracks. Caveat: I have only heard the USA editions.
From posts in other threads, it appears that I am bothered more by bright compression then SOME other members.
