Hmmm....Looks like they are also unveiling some more old live UFO too. (not sure if this is already up here)

I'm gonna really have to do my homework on all these though, reading various UFO/schenker sites/forums and thoroughly checking what I already have. Not like a record label would ever repackage something that they've already released and give it a different name to get you to buy it again though right? (sarcasm)

Off top of my head I recall that UFO Vienna "1/28/98" already came out on the "LIVE ON EARTH" set. And I think all of the MSG shows above already came out on "BACK TO ATTACK" and "REACTIVATE". Plus I remember having bootlegs of some of those shows that not only sounded better but were more complete than the official releases and really feeling ripped off that I even bothered buying the official ones. If they magically discovered multi-track recordings for those shows and mixed them instead of using the lifeless soundboard feeds they had before I might buy them but otherwise think I will try not to bend over again.

Yeah, this is all unauthorized crap-pretty much bad bootlegs or weak soundboard recordings. The UFO and MSG sets are pretty much just bootlegs and nothing more. Stay away. The bands have absolutely nothing to do with this junk.

I'm a big Schenker fan and wanted to gets this a couple of years ago when it originally came out . I have been told by numerous people that these recordings are crappy sound quality but Schenker was in great form. I would love to hear Schenker in fine form but not at bootleg quality.

I think that AUDIENCE recording bootleg quality can be great to listen to - with good mics you can hear what the show actually sounds like in the venue, although sometimes suffer if someone is screaming near the taper - but these SBD "bootlegs" can really stink if they are just unmixed PA feeds. You get sound with instruments/vocals out wack, guitars way too low in the mix, absolutely lifeless sounding dreck. To be honest I don't recall what these sounded like for 100% but I can say that I've never listened to them again after one spin.
