Linda tells us that it sounds like "I'm one."

My 8 yr old read it aloud yesterday as "I'm one". I always mentally pronounce it "ihm wahn". I don't think I've ever said it aloud. It's one of those blush words, where you don't know for sure how to say it, so you feel foolish saying it.

Quantum duality is a fact of nature. Sometimes a photon acts like a particle; sometimes a photon acts like a wave. In some situations an electron acts like a particle; in other situations the behavior of an electron can only be explained as a wave phenomenon. Similarly, it appears that in different situations "IMWAN" is pronounced different ways. This all makes my head hurt.

Simple quantum duality.
