Debut album from the Florida group that Rolling Stone named "Artists to Watch" in 2008. Their first single. ‘I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You’ entered the UK Charts at #11. [title]Partie Traumatic[/title] was produced by former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler and is choc-full of equally effervescent pop songs just waiting to be heard. Judging by their live shows the song is an indie disco anthem in the making. A dash of disco, a dash or two of heartbreak and a rousing chorus, what else do you need? Sony. 2008.

1. Hit the Heartbrakes
2. Partie Traumatic
3. Listen to Your Body Tonight
4. Hurricane Jane
5. I'm Making Eyes at You
6. I've Underestimated My Charms (Again)
7. I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You
8. Love Me Already
9. I Wanna Be Your Limousine
10. Look at Me (When I Rock Wichoo)

They're not bad. I heard one of their songs when I was going to work a couple of days ago. I thought the name of their band was interesting.

Happened to catch the video for "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You" while channel-surfing. Quite infectious pop-rock bauble--reminds me of the early Cure. I think I'll have to buy the CD.

Didja get it, Jimbo? I really love this record. It's catchy as hell, slamming together party pop with disco as if filtered through early Cure. This one stayed on repeat for a while after I got it.

As a matter of fact, I picked it up just yesterday at Discorama. I'll take it for a spin over the holiday weekend.

Damnit! I'd love to see them, word is they're a BLAST live, and since they're playing in Philly I'd for sure see if Junkie was up for it ...

But I'll be in Florida that week. :(
