[bigred]It's All Over: The Okeh Recordings Vol 1[/bigred]
[lilred]June 12, 2006[/lilred]

The first of three volumes that will comprehensively reissue all of the surviving OKeh, Columbia and Epic recordings of this hugely important Chicago soul man.

This volume covers 1962-65. It is built around his first OKeh album [title]It’s All Over[/title], supplemented by 10 bonus cuts – nine of which are previously unissued.

The words "Produced by Carl Davis and Curtis Mayfield, arranged by Riley Hampton" will be enough to ensure maximum sales to lovers of quality mid-60s soul everywhere.

Virtually none of this material has ever been available on CD before, anywhere in the world.

The OKeh label is still a byword in quality for 60s soul.

1. IT’S ALL OVER
2. A BLOSSOM FELL
3. THAT’S WHAT MAMA SAY
4. IT WILL BE THE LAST TIME

[bigred]Welcome Home: The Okeh Recordings Vol 2[/bigred]
[lilred]November 6, 2006[/lilred]

Our first volume of the late Walter Jackson's 1960s OKeh, Epic and Columbia recordings has met with unanimous acclaim amongst the soul fraternity. They will be no less pleased with the second volume in the trilogy, which is built around Walter's fabulous [title]Welcome Home[/title] album and which once again also features many additional bonus tracks to augment the original track listing.

Along with the "Welcome Home" album in its entirety, this volume also features four rare non-album OKeh 45s and - for the delight of Walter obsessives everywhere - three tracks that have never been heard publicly since being committed to tape 39 years ago.

The inevitable wealth of label shots is complemented by a sleeve note that explores Walter's recordings on a session-by-session basis.

For many Walter Jackson is the epitome of mid-60s Chicago soul. His recordings were supervised by the city's greatest producer, Carl Davis, and repertoire was provided by Curtis Mayfield, Van McCoy, Chip Taylor, Randy Newman and Jimmy Radcliffe. With these kind of names on board it's pretty hard to go wrong.

1. My Funny Valentine
2. Moonlight In Vermont
3. Let It Be Me
4. Suddenly I'm All Alone
5. Imagination
6. Welcome Home
7. Moon River
8. Blowin' In The Wind
9. The Magic's Gone
10. Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words)
11. Still At The Mercy Of Your Love
12. Where Have All The Flowers Gone
13. Deep In The Heart Of Harlem (Bonus Track)
14. A Cold, Cold Winter (Bonus Track)
15. I Think It's Going To Rain Today (Bonus Track)
16. That's When I Come To You (Bonus Track)
17. Special Love (Bonus Track)
18. One Heart Lonely (Bonus Track)
19. The Folks Who Live On The Hill (Bonus Track)

[bigred]Speak Her Name: The OKeh Recordings Vol 3[/bigred]
[lilred]September 3, 2007[/lilred]

The final instalment in Kent's trilogy of CDs featuring the complete surviving OKeh, Columbia and Epic masters finds Walter Jackson in New York in 1967-68, recording what many consider to be the best material of his entire career.

Walter's repertoire ranges from his definitive readings of the UK Walker Brothers hit `My Ship Is Coming In' and the Bacharach-David perennial `The Look Of Love', via the staggering `suicide' song `The Bed' to the Big City soul of `No Butterflies'. These, Walter's other single-only releases from the period and the whole of his original Okeh album [title]Speak Her Name[/title] are compiled here to produce a fitting finale to a wonderful series of CDs.

Virtually none of these tracks has ever appeared on a UK CD before. Two have never been released in any form - indeed, `Forget The Girl' was mixed down from the multi-track especially for this CD.

Walter Jackson is exactly the sort of artists that Kent buyers can't wait to lay down their money for. If anyone has ever deserved the "Kent" treatment, it's Walter.

1. Speak Her Name
2. Tear For Tear
3. Not You
4. After You There Can Be Nothing
5. They Don't Give Medals (To Yesterday's Heroes)
6. A Corner In The Sun
7. My One Chance To Make It
8. She's A Woman
9. I'll Keep On Trying
10. It's An Uphill Climb To The Bottom
11. Funny (Not Much)
12. My Ship Is Coming In
13. Road To Ruin
14. Everything Under The Sun
15. Forget The Girl (Previously Unissued)
16. No Butterflies
17. Just One Smile (Previously Unissued)
18. The Look Of Love
19. The Bed
20. Ad Lib
