Not the cartoons, which were terrible, but the toys, which were not. In fact, they were rad.
See, the one truck looked like a Blazer, right, but if you pushed the button the back popped up and it was a missile launcher, so that was pretty awesome, and also there was the motorcycle, okay, and if you flipped the thing and switched the bit it got helicopter blades and woop woop woop woop it could fly.
And they had a mountain base with a big boulder on top that BOOK could come off and there was a cannon and a garage and all of the guys had these great helmet masks they would put on even though I don't know why and the main bad guy was a fat old man.
M.A.S.K. = should have been more popular.

M.A.S.K.'s theme song is the stuff of nightmares.
I watched the entire series last summer at work.

I remember there was a bad guy with a pretty rad motorcycle thing but I don't recall what it did. The good guy had the green Japanese motorcycle/helicopter. There was a punk rock bad guy who dressed in black with red trim and had punk yellow hair. He also had a bike, I think, but I don't remember what it did.
I think the main bad guy had the 18-wheeler and the good guy had the Bronco, but I might have mixed them up.

The main bad guy, "Miles Mayhem," piloted a helicopter that transformed into a jet. He looked like Mr. Belvedere.
The main good guy, "Matt Tracker," drove an Iroq-Z whose doors popped up, allowing it to fly.
The bad guy on the purple motorcycle was called "Piranha." He had a soul patch and a hi-pitched voice.
The blonde punk on the red bike... I had that vehicle but I don't remember his name. He was a peg warmer.

The only part i liked was the opening song. Maybe was i too old for the rest. A younger cousin of mine like it... or was it the GI JOE cartoon?... maybe it was both.

MASK was on the tail end of my "getting too old for this years," so my recollection isn't as good as it is for GI Joe. If we're about the same age, it probably holds true for you, too. (I'm 58, so by the time MASK came around I was getting slightly too old for toy cartoons.)

Stephane is correct. If we are measuring by our 1984 age, we are not old.

You're just made because you had to cut doen and whittle your own Lincoln Logs.
And you called them Lincoln Logs because Abe used to help you with the whittling.
