Yay, time change!

I heard on the radio last week that a [Swedish?] study showed that the amount of
heart attacks declines during the days immediately after switching to Daylight Savings
time, and significantly increases again when we switch back.

Extra sleep = good health.
Lack o' sleep = teh death.

I would agree with that.

I've never died.

I love Fall time change day.

We totally missed it.
Heard absolutely NOTHING about it until today.
Luckily we didn't need to be anywhere today!

Same here. I was a tad confused when I awoke to find that my alarm clock and microwave clock were not telling me the same thing that my cable box and beloved PC ("Lunchbox") were.

This is what I get for not watching the news and not having a job. What's YOUR excuse, Hugh? =)

I honestly don't have one.
We watched TV all week, people at the office never said anything to anyone, nothing on the Yahoo news page.
When I was a kid, you couldn't turn on a radio or tv for a month before the time-change without hearing about it.
"Don't forget....."
Over the years the reminders just seemed to stop happening.

Or maybe I DID hear something about it, but it faded into the dark fog that was Friday night/Saturday morning!

Church-goers have it easy on this topic. Twice a year, the Sunday before time change, the pastor makes a joke about setting your clocks before next week.

So church-goers are prepared not to miss the boat. Time change is a metaphor for the fate of your soul.

And on Sunday morning you find out which of your fellow church members did and did not remember to change their clocks! Some years back I heard of a guy who set his clock the wrong direction in the spring and got to church two hours late. He thought he was coming in time for Sunday school and found everybody leaving at the end of the main worship service!

A long time ago my husband helpfully changed all the clocks at the store the wrong way and then called and wanted to know why I wasn't home yet. Ah, well.

He deliberately misdirected you.

There were strippers in the house.

I actually remembered Sunday morning, which is a shock. Shut the alarm off and changed the time on the clock. I usually don't remember until I turn the computer on and it tells me the time changed.

That would explain the feather boas.

First thing this morning we got a telephone call from a woman wanting to know when the custom of Daylight Savings Time began.

No. Those were yours.

The pasties? With tassels? Suppose you're gonna tell me those are mine, too?
