Which Bond movie do a lot of fans say sucks that you say is good?

I like Goldeneye and You Only Live Twice quite a bit.

The Living Daylights. Though that might simply be that it was the first Bond film I ever saw.

And Tomorrow Never Dies is my favorite of the Brosnan films.

I'll second this. Some people dismiss it because it's a Roger Moore film, but it's got a great plot, some nasty villains, and a beautiful heroine. Plus Moore plays it straighter than usual; a little tougher, a little more ruthless in dealing with the bad guys.

I had always thought that both OHMSS and FYEO were held in high regard by Bond fans.

In fact, I purchased both FYEO and Spy Who Loved Me because they were supposed to be the two best Moore films.

I've heard far, far more people dismiss OHMSS out of hand just because it stars George Lazenby than I've heard of people holding it in high regard. I did so myself for years.

I said as a kid I liked it.

I found OHMSS interminably long and boring. It was on commercial tv though, uncut, for like, I don't know, 8 hrs or something ;)

He was a really shitty Bond

You asked for a movie that a lot of fans say suck

Then most people, including yourself, name films that are regarded pretty well-Goldeneye-probably Brosnan's best regarded, Living Daylights-which many felt was a return to thje books , OHMSS-enjoying a resurgence lately, For Your Eyes Only-one of the top two regarded Moores.

Im the only one who actually answered the question ;)

I liked this movie, it was a refreshing change from Moore. Unfortunately, Dalton had bad scripts to work with but he was a good Bond.

I've heard many Bond fans say they strongly dislike Goldeneye and I also listed You Only Live Twice, which is considered not so great, from what I understand (I like it better than Thunderball).

You should leave the forum in shame, like Ross

This one as well, it's shame Lazenby somehow talked his way out of the follow up.....

I think this is a really good Bond movie - I like it better than anything that didn't have Sean Connery or Daniel Craig in it. I thought Licence to Kill was much weaker, though.

Hey, just read that Goldeneye and Casino Royale were directed by the same guy, Martin Campbell.

I liked the two Timothy Dalton movies. I also liked On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

In fact, the only Bond films I haven't liked are the post-Man With The Golden Gun Moore films and the Pierce Brosnan films (I don't dislike the Brosnan films, either -- they just do nothing for me).
