[title]Best Of Days[/title] is the brand new solo album from former Love Affair, Widowmaker and Ellis lead singer Steve Ellis.

Recorded earlier this year, the 14-song album features the Paul Weller composition "Brand New Start", whilst Weller himself plays guitar and keyboards along with members of his band on "Step Inside". Steve's lifelong friend Roger Daltrey of The Who features on "The Yellow Rose Of Texas". The booklet photography is by Weller's photographer of choice, Lawrence Watson.

The album includes a new version of perennial favourite "Everlasting Love", which hit # 1 for Steve and Love Affair in 1968 and has since been covered by the likes of U2, Gloria Estefan, Jamie Cullum, Robert Knight and Rachel Sweet. The album concludes with another version recorded live at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon with Paul Weller and Steve Cradock accompanying Ellis on acoustic guitar.
