One of my personal rules is to never read any book with a photograph of the author on the cover, but as I did for Pete's autobiography, I'll make an exception for Roger.

(Poor Roger--what kind of publicist neglects to describe him as "iconic"?)

I've met Roger Daltrey and can attest, he is one tough hombre in person, the real deal. A very unusual rock star. Can't wait to read this book.

Bump: Added the cover image to the first post. The book will be entitled Thanks A Lot Mr Kibblewhite, a reference to the headmaster at Daltrey's school.

It's an unusual photo they've used for the cover. I don't much like it. Perhaps you have to read the book to understand the context or significance of it?

There are so many images of a young Roger Daltrey they could've used. The title is intriguing, and I can only assume there's some reason that image was chosen; it's really odd.

I was in my local B&N this evening, and they had the hardback discounted at 50% off. Fortunately, Self-Santa happened to be standing nearby, and after some quick consultation, he discovered that with my B&N member discount, I had been *just good enough* this year to warrant an early Christmas present.
