So, is Amazon Prime not shipping items in 2 days any more? I ordered a CD on 9/8 (prime) and it said it will arrive Sunday. Then today I get an email that it shipped and would arrive Wed., which will be a week after the order. Prior to the CD my last order was placed Aug. 30 and arrived 9/04. I kind of have prime for the shipping, since I rarely use the prime video. I didn't complain in the middle of the covid panic buying, but that the panic buying and shortages seem to be over. Does Amazon still use UPS to ship items? It seems like they used to use them if they couldn't get the items here through the post office. I now wonder if prime is worth it if items can't ship in 2 days.

Amazon uses pretty much everyone except FedEx as I recall, including their own trucks/ICs. It depends on what their algorithms tell them will be the most economical method.

Well if people are paying for prime the algorithms ought to tell them which method will meet the customer's expectation of shipping the item.

I had to return an electronic item, which was defective. Amazon is sending me a replacement. On 9/19, I spoke to customer service and it was determined the item I received was defective. So it will take 6 days for my replacement to get to me. Meanwhile the item I returned got back to Amazon in 2 days. I printed the label, took it to UPS on Monday 9/21, about 2 pm, and it arrived back at Amazon at 11 am on Wed. 9/23.

Had a first for me. Amazon delivered an empty envelope. Inspecting the package, it looks like someone failed to seal the flap and the item slipped out somewhere in transit. versus someone stealing anything out of it (much easier to take the package if that was the case). At least Amazon did not put up any fuss (they never have for me in general). But boy, I would have dug listening through the 5 Classic Albums from Parliament today while I wait for my short week to end.

I'm still waiting for my book to arrive - it was posted on November 15 and was scheduled to arrive by tomorrow at the latest. I've emailed the store it originated from for the tracking number - just today as I sort of forgot about this - but haven't received it yet. I don't want it to be lost in transit so I want that tracking number so I can see where it actually is.
Hardly a big deal but I hope it arrives tomorrow so I can just forget about it.

I actually have three books still yet to arrive after four weeks. Oddly, one ended up in nearby Orlando, and is now currently visiting Philadelphia. The other two are still noted as being in their post office of origin.

Okay, so...the seller doesn't use tracking numbers. At least they emailed me back quickly. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see. It will arrive when it arrives.

We ordered books for my daughter for Christmas - never showed up. Waited until they said we could order a replacement or get a refund. My wife requested the replacement. Got an e-mail that said the automated system couldn't do that (that's a first). So I put in for a refund and just ordered a replacement. After I ordered, I got an e-mail that they automated system couldn't do the refund. So I ended up on a chat and got that taken care of, only to get an e-mail saying to return the items when they arrive. Well, there's the issue - if they arrived, I wouldn't have asked for the refund. I'm guessing this isn't quite over. I will say that things seem to be sliding back towards the more normal side - I got the Van Halen radio broadcast CD today that was originally estimated to arrive in mid- to late January.

Call me impressed.
