There's a box set coming out on October 28th to accompany Bruce Cockburn's memoirs. As a long-time fan, I'm in. Not a lot that's new, though the organization of the discs looks interesting. Also, the live film from 2008 looks good.

My pleasure. I'll buy this because I buy everything Bruce Cockburn related. If the bonus tracks from the re-issues are any indication, the new songs won't be that great anyway. It seems he used most of the good stuff on the original albums (though I do love the song I Want To Dance With You).

I believe the dvd is already available separately.
This is a blown opportunity. There is so much amazing live stuff in the vaults. Cockburn is one of my top 20 artists, but I can't justify $113-$150 for 14-16 songs. And HTF can he leave Dialogue With The Devil off of a 9 disc box????!
If they do a hi-res edition, I'll have to revisit that stance.

I would be surprised if they sold the rarities disc separately. Bruce is pretty weird about these sorts of things. I only ordered this because I think Bruce is an under-appreciated artist and I want to support him. I could easily have just created my own CDs with nearly identical playlists. I don't expect much from the rarities discs because he tends to use the good stuff on his records and I have the one-offs. I am excited about the concert DVD though. I know Geff thinks it's out there already, but I've never seen it so it will be fun to watch the whole thing. I've seen him about 25 times, and I have about 50 boots of shows dating back to the 70s, and this will be a nice addition to my collection.

I could swear I've seen the dvd on Amazon Canada; my memory is it was about $5 over my budget & I was going to wait for the price to come down. Is there another BC dvd I have it confused with?
