This is exciting. There was a live set from them released in the last year or so where the sound quality wasn't very good. If this is better, it should be a lot of fun to hear and see.

I have the Joe Jackson "Rockpalast" DVD set and the quality is excellent. I'm definitely in for this Rockpile set. Great track listing although I wish there was more from their one official album.

I think there are UFO and MSG releases like this from Rockpalast as well?

Yep, among many many others that I'd love to check out one day. Joe Jackson is one of my all-time favorite artists which is why that was my first Rockpalast purchase.

On the off chance you're being serious, here's the short version:
In the days of vinyl the USA record companies filed a law suit against parallel imports: records legally made in other countries that either sounded better than lame USA vinyl pressings &/or were cheaper. The record companies lost.
This is the reason for region codes on video.
Pal vs NTSC is a different issue that's going away in the hd video age (most flat panels and all pc's will play both both PAL & NTSC):
The USA & Japan chose the NTSC format for TV broadcast; the rest of the planet chose PAL. They are incompatible without conversion software (which is built into many players & accessible in the set up menu).

According to the listing at Amazon, this is NTSC, and based on my experience with the Joe Jackson "Rockpalast" DVD it should play fine in American players. I'm finding that the majority of music DVDs I've gotten from overseas the last couple of years have been region free & NTSC. Let's hope that trend continues.

Sounds like the previous releases have been (blissfully) region-free....correct?
Based on the one Rockpalast DVD I own (Joe Jackson) I can tell you that it's region-free & NTSC. Not sure about the others, but as I mentioned above the majority of recent music DVDs I've gotten from overseas have also been playable here.
