Frontiers will also be releasing BOC's Hard Rock Live Cleveland 2014 on the same day. Details are in this thread:

I never heard this due to them being remakes. Is it good? Worth the money?

It’s fine. The band reworked a few of the songs to be more in line with the way they were being performed live at the time. The hits are more or less note-for-note (the re-recording was basically an end run around Sony so that they could make some money from licensing the new versions).

I am a huge fan but I don't think the remakes add anything, the originals can't be beat.

I don't automatically dismiss these kinds of re-recordings across the board, but in this case I'm not impressed. In particular, I think the vocals on many of the tracks do not compare favorably to the originals.

The band plays well, though. I think "Astronomy " is a good litmus test for determining if one would like this album.

I've always considered this album as pretty good alternate versions of these songs. The sound quality is more upfront than the originals.

I think they should have made the drums more prominent. :p
Just like Gord's Gold Volume II - WHY?
