Still, I am impressed with what fans can do: make episodes that generally hold my attention better than actual studio work.
We have definitely moved into an age when small productions have a place, and do quite well. But they also appropriate someone else's characters and story lines, concepts, and fan base to be successful.
I suppose if they were to make their own material, who would seek it out and watch it?

A buddy of mine, years ago, did a fan movie on VHS based on the Death of Gwen Stacey issues and was one of teh first good ones and caused quite the stir at the time. He did his own superhero movie recently called The Posthuman Project.
I approached the guy who did the fan short, Grayson, about doing something with Big Bang's similar character Galahad and told him he could actually sell it and make money but to no avail.

Just watched the first episode; impressive. Thanks for the tip Flameboy.
