I guess he's like Daredevil, the other supposedly merely mortal hero who somehow keeps going despite having been beaten up, shot, stabbed, having his back broken, etc. every couple of issues for decades. He has a mutant healing factor they don't ever talk about.

For the record I did not mean "ill" as in "infirmed," I meant "ill" as in the way it is defined in most Urban Dictionary entries.
