Car crash yesterday in Minnesota south of the Twin Cities has one fatality, and one
of the trucks involved in the crash was carrying 17 million bees—which then made
things very difficult for the first responders. Traffic backed up for several hours as
Firefighters were using hoses to drive off the bees!

Luckily, I was staying up at a friend's house over the weekend, but I normally drive
through this spot.

Plus, this was a record breaking scorcher hot muggy day, so many people were driving
with their windows open. The cops were screaming for people to roll them up, roll them
up! It was a real mess.

Plus, in that heat, the first responders had to put on heavy protective gear to avoid being
overly stung. I can't say enough good things about their willingness to handle emergencies
like this.

What happened to the media hysteria about all the bee dying off? Have they rebounded?

Glad it looks like they contained them before more people were seriously injured.

There was a Civil War skirmish in Arkansas known as "The Battle of the Bees". Supposedly the Confederates were forced to retreat after they were attacked by a swarm of bees. But it's probably just a legend.

It was in Rio Lobo, and it was the Union troops. John Wayne took care of everything.

Hmmmm.... It never occurred to me that they might have been thinking about the Battle of the Bees when they wrote that scene!

Thanks! Glad to see you've been doing so well with your final 1% or so of Dell Four Color issues!
