Fact.

What changes to characters do you think were better than the classic version?

Beast
Can't think of too many who changed dramatically like those two. I'm sure someone can refresh my memory.

While I enjoyed every moment of Dick Grayson's career as Robin, I was elated to see his transformation into Nightwing.

Wally West from Kid Flash to Flash.

And I think Barry was better when he went from Flash to Dead Flash.

I liked it when Sasquatch became white and a woman.

All good choices. Except the Sasquatch thing.

Though the same character, I did like better Pineapple Thing's look than rocky thing, along with the increased power levels.

I also preferred crafty gray Hulk to green Hulk Smash.

Archangel would have been better if he wasn't blue.

I was kidding.

I did really like Professor Hulk, though. I thought that was a fun time.

I agree with the Beast as well. That's probably the best change of all; I also like Robin into Nightwing.

The Hulk with the slicked back hair and reading glasses was my absolute favorite version of the charachter, hands down.

I actually hated Archangel. I think it was a case of breaking somethign that was working perfectly.

I liked the original grey then blue change of Beast over the original, but the later changes sucked.

I am mixed about the Sasquatch one though. Seeing hot white haired woemn, often barely dressed, is a good thing, but he was really cool to begin with.

Dick as Nightwing is WAY cooler than he ever was as Robin.

Wally was way better as Flash then Kid Flash.

Sand is way better then Sandy.

I liked Hal better as Paralax than as Specter, who was better then him as Green Lantern (and I really love him as GL, but I thought it was a case of improving on the already good).

Hank was/is better as Yellowjacket than he was in any previous or later incarnations.

Red/blue Captain Marvel was way better then gree/white, and not just visually, although the original costume does have it's appeal.

Jean was way better when she first came back from the dead then she was originally or as Phoenix.

Wonderman all ionic and stuff is more interesting then he was before his latest death.

This is my answer as well. I was about to give up on comics altogether in the early 80's, when all of a sudden a character actually grew up and completely changed his identity. I was floored by that, and got completely sucked in. Then came stuff like THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and BATMAN: YEAR ONE and other more adult-oriented stuff, so I stuck around for the long haul.

I agree with both of these, but don't think that Archangel was an improvement at all; I just didn't like that particcular change.

Now, Ben Reilly replacing Spider-Man, that's a whole different matter.....

For all of those who think Barry's better off dead, how many Barry Flash comics have you read? I've only seen him in New Frontier, but I liked him there.
