Product Description ''I Know That Name'' is the 14th studio album from Paul Carrack, the hit songwriter and former member of Squeeze and Mike and the Mechanics. Paul delivers the perfect mix of soulful vocals and melodic rock. The album includes the single ''I Don't Want to Hear Any More'' which was originally written for the Eagles by Carrack and appeared on their 2007 album ''Long Road Out of Eden.'' On Carrack's emotional solo version, Eagles members Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit return the favor, joining Paul on vocals. The pair also appear on ''Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City.'' ''I Know That Name'' is the work of a superb pop craftsman at the height of his game!1. Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City [feat. Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit] 2. I Don't Want to Hear Any More [feat. Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit] 3. It Ain't Easy (To Love Somebody) 4. No Doubt About It 5. I Don't Want Your Love (I Need Your Love) 6. Stay Awake (I'm Coming Home) 7. Just 4 Tonite 8. Love Is Thicker Than Water [feat. Sam Moore] 9. If I Didn't Love You 10. Who Am I? 11. Eyes of Blue (remake in a reggae-style arrangement) 12. Am I in That Dream? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001VPJZK4/?tag=imwan-20

It's a damn shame he can't get his CD's released domestically anymore. His last two, "Groovin'", and "Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue" weren't released over here, and neither was his last live DVD. I had to pay big bucks for an import of ONBB, and it looks like I'll probably have to do the same with this new one as well...

I can't wait to hear the new CD, i've been hooked on his music since Blue Views came out. I liked Mike & The Mechanics when i was growing up, and of course his other 80's stuff like "Don't Shed A Tear" or that Squeeze classic "Tempted", yet I never even heard "How Long" until Blue Views. I wish there was a way to quote someone's reply on here, i wanted to ask the guy that bought the expensive import of Groovin' if he got the regular version or Still Groovin', which had five bonus tracks. I paid $27 to get Still Groovin' on eBay, and it was totally worth it! Still Groovin' had 5 bonus tracks: Into The Mystic People Get Ready Warm and Tender Love It's Growing I Wish It Would Rain His cover of Into The Mystic wound up being my favorite song on the whole CD, and the runner up was probably I Wish It Would Rain. By the way, I should mention, I got Old, New,borrowed & Blue on ebay also, a dealer out of California named redtagmarket had a bunch of copies and actually sold them at a reasonable price, and still has 9 left with a buy it now of $11.45+$6.95 shipping. I'm actually going to search now & see if I can find the new single from this dealer at a reasonable price, and maybe try to reserve a copy of the new Cd when they get it. I am so glad I found an online forum with more people that like Paul Carrack as much has I do!

BTW, for Carrack completists: this CD single preceded the album in the UK last year and went out of print almost immediately. One third party dealer at Amazon UK still has it in stock, though. Worth picking up since it includes a couple of non-album tracks: Product Description UK four track CD pressing of the first single pulled from the British Pop/Soul vocalist's 2008 album produced by Dave Robinson (of Stiff Records fame). Carrack has had a successful solo career as well as being the voice behind Ace's 'How Long', Squeeze's 'Tempted' and Mike & The Mechanics' 'Living Years' amongst others. Features two versions of 'Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City' (City Mix and Album Mix) plus 'If You Believe In Me' and 'Your Own Special Way'. Carrack.1. Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City - City Mix 3:41 2. Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City - Album Mix 3:40 3. If You Believe In Me 5:46 4. Your Own Special Way 4:17 http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001ASIS78/?tag=imwan-21

I'm excited for this disk. I love everything he's done. It's really a shame his most recent disks haven't come out here in the U.S.

Received the following email today regarding an expanded edition: The ‘Ultimate Edition’ of I Know That Name’ is now available in the Online Shop and is also available in the Carrack Mp3 Download Store. The Album has been totally remastered with the release versions of all 6 singles replacing those from the original Album .Additionally, two new tracks have been added to the set – the awe-inspiring ‘Soul To Soul’, which Paul performs with the London Community Gospel Choir , and ‘He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother’ with The Blessed Voices. David Bascombe’s remix of ‘If I Didn’t Love You’ is also released as a single for download only. Also in the Download Store are Official Bootleg recordings of some of the 2010 live gigs. Both Stores can be found at http://www.carrack-uk.com.

Remastered version of a 2009 cd? Sounds like a bit of a stretch.
