What are yours?

If you could own any character from comics, which would it be?

If you could write for any artist, which artist and project would you pick?

If you could draw like any comic book artist, who would you pick?

If you started your own comic book company, who would you hire?

If you could have any comic that was never created, like a Kirby Flash or a Ditko Batman, which would you pick?

If you could direct any superhero film, which would you pick?

If you could have any two superheroes or super-teams crossover, who would pick and who would work on it?

Make up your own questions!

If you could have any two superheroes or super-teams crossover, who would pick and who would work on it?

JLA/Defenders (late 1970s version) Written by David A. Kraft and drawn by Keith Giffen and Herb Trimpe

If you could write for any artist, which artist and project would you pick? John Romita Sr., Spider-man

If you could draw like any comic book artist, who would you pick? McFarlane because he became rich

If you started your own comic book company, who would you hire? Jim Shooter

If you could have any comic that was never created, like a Kirby Flash or a Ditko Batman, which would you pick? Stan Lee/Steve Ditko co-plotted reunion Amazing Spider-Man 160 page graphic novel, in 4 parts, 1/4 drawn by Ditko, 1/4 drawn by Romita Sr. 1/4 drawn by McFarlane, 1/4 drawn by Romita Jr.

If you could direct any superhero film, which would you pick? Spider-Man. I'd do it right.

If you could have any two superheroes or super-teams crossover, who would pick and who would work on it?

Spider-Man and Wally West Flash, circa when Wally was just starting as the Flash. Written by Brubaker, drawn by Romita Jr

Or if you force me to pick a mainstream character, Green Lantern by Jack Kirby. Kirby could have taken his wild ideas and went way beyond with GL.

Hanzo the Razor wrote:

Hourman (as written by me; I'm working on it).

Hanzo the Razor wrote:

Power Girl versus the She Hulk, pencilled by George Perez and inked by Wallace Wood. I don't know who'd write it, but I am pretty sure no one would care.

If you could own any character from comics, which would it be?

Superman!

If you could write for any artist, which artist and project would you pick?

Mike Allred on a Superman maxi-series. If not Superman, just to be different, I'd like Frank Quitely on a Doc Savage mini.

If you could draw like any comic book artist, who would you pick?

Frank Cho.

If you started your own comic book company, who would you hire?

Morrison, Millar, Romita JR., Allred, Jim Lee and Roger Stern,

If you could have any comic that was never created, like a Kirby Flash or a Ditko Batman, which would you pick?

Supreme drawn by Frank Cho and John Romita SR. as an actual Superman comic book, with the ending and everything.

If you could direct any superhero film, which would you pick?

The next Superman.

If you could have any two superheroes or super-teams crossover, who would pick and who would work on it?

Superman vs the FF (a good version this time) with Lee and Kirby.

My fantasy project is to do an X-Men series set in 1991 just after Chris Claremont's last issue. It would start from there, ignoring any X-Men continuity that went on from that point. It would be written by me (but in Claremontian style), and resolve all the loose ends from that original run in one big, epic story.

And to extend the fantasy, I'd want to do it like Alan Moore's "Supreme," with flashbacks to different Claremont eras. Except I'd have the actual artists from those eras draw the new material. So flashbacks to the JRJr run would be drawn by JRJr, flashbacks to Smith's run would be drawn by Smith, etc. I'd have Silvestri handle the stuff set in the present.

That's my big crazy impossible project.

If you could write for any artist, which artist and project would you pick? I'd write the Hulk, and I'd want Mike Mignola to draw it.

If you could draw like any comic book artist, who would you pick? Frank Frazetta

If you started your own comic book company, who would you hire? Too many to list. Everyone I could afford to, basically!

If you could have any comic that was never created, like a Kirby Flash or a Ditko Batman, which would you pick? Rick Leonardi's Howard the Duck.

If you could direct any superhero film, which would you pick? An animated Spider-Man movie, done by Pixar.

If you could have any two superheroes or super-teams crossover, who would pick and who would work on it? I'd have the Fantastic Four meet Batman, written by Roger Stern and drawn by Paul Smith.

Make up your own questions! No!

Thats a GREAT idea..ive also thought of having CC finish off his original run (as if he never left in 1991) and tying up all his old loose ends/introducing new concepts and threats...he was firing on all cylinders then...

James - I also really like your idea of Kirby on GL!
